The 5X Points Booster
Every half hour you spend on Asgard drops 2 points into your balance, rank or no rank. The 5X booster bumps that to 10 points, and nothing about how you play has to change. Points also never wipe, which is easy to forget when you log in on a Monday evening to a fresh map and an empty inventory. Whatever you stack up on one map carries over to the next, and /rp shows the total.
Kits on 5X time
We sell the four one-time kits in /shop for points, and that's where the booster earns its keep. At the base rate an Armory kit costs 98 points, or about 25 hours online for two AKs and a couple of metal kits. On 5X that drops to about 5 hours, and a Raid kit at 138 points takes roughly 7. Chad is the big one at 594 points, which still means around 30 hours on 5X, though grinding it out at the base rate would take you about 150. The rest of the shop runs on the same points, from vehicle airdrops and raid gear to the 5-point sunrise that skips the night for the whole server.
If you already run Thor
Thor comes with a 7-day 5X token every month, along with a Raid kit token. Activate a bought token while your Thor one is still running and it tacks 7 more days onto the end. Two other booster rules matter if you're thinking of buying on top of a rank:
- You can hold one booster of each kind, and boosters work with any rank or with none.
- Points boosters add together, so a 2X running next to a 5X pays you 7X.
Nothing on the store unlocks paid Facepunch DLC or paid skins, and this booster is no exception.
Pricing and our pick
The cheapest way in is the 7-day token on the store for $10, which is a one-time buy that never bills you again. Regulars can go monthly at $15, and the yearly plan at $150 comes out $30 cheaper than twelve monthly payments. Both of those kick in the minute your payment clears and keep renewing until you cancel. We think 5X is the right pick for anyone who's on most evenings and keeps one eye on the kit prices in /shop. If you only play a couple of nights a week, the 2X token at $3 a week does the job fine. Players who are on from wipe to wipe should just get 10X, which pays 20 points every half hour. Points packs are there for anyone who'd rather not wait at all, starting at 500 points for $10.
Turning it on
Checkout means signing in with Steam and paying through PayNow, our payment partner, and the booster lands on your account within a few minutes, including when you're logged out. The 7-day token then sits there until you decide to use it, and tokens never expire or wipe. Once you're back on the server, activating the token works like this:
- Open your token menu by typing
/redeemin chat, or use/boosters, which opens the same menu. - Press ACTIVATE on the 5X token, or type
/redeem 5xto go straight past the menu. - Come back to that menu whenever you want to check the timer on how long your boost has left.
- Watch your balance climb with
/rp, then spend it in/shoponce you can afford the kit you're after.
