The Armory Kit: Two AKs and Two Metal Kits

We built the Armory kit with duos in mind, and of our four one-time kits it is the one I would buy first. One token covers two people with a rifle, metal armor and healing, and on a one grid map the nearest group is never far from your door.

Two rifles and two sets of metal

Inside the token are two AK-47s and two full metal kits. Every metal kit in the box comes with a metal facemask, a metal chestplate, a roadsign kilt, a hoodie, pants, boots and tactical gloves. You also get 384 rifle ammo in three stacks of 128, along with 15 large medkits, 15 bandages and 15 blueberries. We raised the ammo from 256 to 384 a little while ago, and split evenly that gives each rifle 192 rounds. Medkits stack to 25 on Asgard, and all fifteen of them sit together in one inventory slot.

What lands where

Claiming the kit sends its items to three different places at once:

  • One AK-47 goes straight into your belt.
  • One full metal kit goes onto your character, already worn.
  • The second rifle, the second armor set, the ammo and the meds all go into your main inventory.

I like it set up this way because you are armed and dressed the second the menu closes, and the spare set is already in your bag for your teammate.

When I would use one

The obvious use is a duo, or two players out of a trio, heading to a monument straight after the map wipes on Monday or Friday. It also helps a group that has just lost everything in a fight and wants to get back out before the other side has finished looting. Solo players can get use out of it as well, since a second AK and a spare set of metal in a box at home take a lot of the sting out of dying. Kits are blocked for 5 minutes after explosives hit your base or you blow into someone else's, and for 1 minute after any fight, and the safest habit is to redeem it at home before you leave.

Paying with points

At 200 points, the Armory kit is the cheapest of the one-time kits in /shop, a little under the Builder kit at 220. Everyone earns 2 points for every 30 minutes online, which comes to 50 hours of play at the base rate, or 5 hours if you have a 10X points booster running. Points never wipe either, and a balance you build slowly over several wipes will still be waiting when you want to spend it. If you have the Heimdall rank, it already sends you one Armory token every month on top of anything you buy.

Getting a token onto your account

If you would rather pay cash, the kit is $12 on the store, where you sign in with Steam and check out through PayNow, our payment partner. The token reaches your account within a few minutes, even if you are offline at the time. Because it is a one-time purchase, you will never be billed for it again.

In game, type /redeem and press REDEEM next to the Armory kit, or type /redeem armory to skip the menu altogether. Tokens never expire and they survive wipes, and keeping one or two in reserve for a bad start costs you nothing. If a token you paid for does not show up, open a ticket in #create-a-ticket on our Discord with your Steam profile link and the email you paid with.
