/skin and the Building Commands

We wipe the map on Asgard every Monday and Friday, which means most of us put down a fresh base twice a week. After a few wipes the hammer part of that gets old, so we added four chat commands that do the upgrading for you and let you put skins on your gear. Every rank has all four built in, and the free Discord kit gives you /skin as well.

What the commands do

If you only learn one of them, make it /upall. Type /upall 2 and your whole base goes to stone, or use 3 for metal and 4 for HQM. When you only need to fix one building, /up 3 upgrades the one you're looking at and leaves the rest of the base alone. The /bgrade command works before you even place anything. With /bgrade 2 set, every wall, floor and foundation you place goes straight up as stone, and you can switch to 1 for wood, 3 for metal, 4 for HQM or 0 to turn it off.

The /skin command is the odd one out of the four. Hold an item, type the command and pick a skin from the list, and you can do it anywhere without standing at a workbench. Nothing we sell unlocks paid Facepunch DLC or paid skins.

You still pay for the stone

None of the upgrade commands give you free materials. Every upgrade costs what it would cost with a hammer, and the stone, frags or HQM have to be in your inventory. The commands also stop during raid block, which covers the 5 minutes after explosives hit your base or you blow into someone else's. What goes away is the walk around the base hitting every piece one at a time, and on a big build that walk eats a lot of your wipe.

Who gets them

Every rank (Heimdall, Loki, Thor and Odin) has all four commands for as long as the rank is active, plus /ad for auto doors. There is no token to activate, so the commands work from the minute the rank reaches your account. With a rank, /skin lets you pick from every free workshop skin for the item in your hand. The commands are not sold on their own.

You'll find the ranks in the ranks section of the store, where you sign in with Steam and pay through PayNow. Loki is the cheapest of the three at $22 a month, and it also comes with a daily kit and a monthly Armory kit token.

/skin with the free Discord kit

Anyone who has the free Discord kit can use /skin too, with the skins their Steam account already owns. To get it, join the server and keep the game running while you open asgardrust.gg and click Get the Discord kit. The page signs you in with Steam and then with Discord, and you only have to link the two accounts once. Back in game, type /discord to claim the kit, and from then on /skin works for you on every wipe.

If a command doesn't respond after a relog and a few minutes of waiting, open a ticket in #create-a-ticket on our Discord.
