Points and the Shop Explained

We wanted a player who never spends a dollar to still have a real route to the same four kits that other people buy on the store, and points are how we did it. Every player earns them just by being online, with or without a rank. The balance also carries over from one wipe to the next.

The base rate

Each 30 minutes you spend on the server is worth 2 points, which comes to 4 points an hour. A points booster raises that rate while it runs. With 2X you get 4 points a half hour, and the 10X booster pays 20, with 5X in the middle at 10. Boosters stack by adding up, so a 2X and a 5X together pay 7X, and all three at once pay 17X, or 34 points a half hour. Type /rp in chat whenever you want to check your balance.

How long the kits take

The four one-time kits from the store are also in /shop, priced in points. At the base rate with no booster running, this is roughly how much time online each one costs:

  • Armory, 98 points, about 25 hours
  • Builder, 104 points, about 26 hours
  • Raid, 138 points, about 35 hours
  • Chad, 594 points, about 150 hours

A booster divides those hours by its multiplier. On 10X the Armory kit takes only 5 hours, and Chad comes down to about 37 and a half. On 5X a Raid kit takes 18 hours of play. Chad without a booster is a long project, and we'd only start saving for it if you play most nights.

What we'd spend them on

For most players the Builder kit is the one we'd grab first. You get a whole base in one go: 20k wood, 20k stone, 15k frags, 3k HQM, a TC and every door and code lock the build needs. The Raid kit is smaller, with 4 C4, 10 satchels and an LR-300 with three kinds of 5.56. In practice that covers about one raid if you pick the target well.

The rest of the shop has raid gear, weapons, ammo, resources, armor, meds, cosmetics and a recycler. Vehicle airdrops sit under Commands, and they drop a mini, a scrap heli, an attack heli, a rowboat, a RHIB, a submarine or a tugboat by parachute right next to you, already fueled. One cheap item we like is the sunrise, which costs 20 points and brings morning to the whole server. If you buy something and change your mind later, you can sell it back to the shop, although it always pays less than you spent.

Betting them

With /wheel you pick a bet and a number, and it pays 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 times your stake at the same odds as the Bandit wheel. /blackjack opens a clickable table that takes 10 to 5,000 points a hand, and the dealer stands on 17 while a blackjack pays 3 to 2. For something quicker, /coinflip 50 puts 50 points on a flip that pays double or nothing, and adding the word tails to the end calls tails.

When the shop is closed to you

You can't use the shop while you're raid blocked or combat blocked. Raid block lasts 5 minutes after explosives hit your base or you blow into someone else's, and combat block lasts 1 minute after any fight. We'd stock up on meds and ammo first, since you can't top up in the middle of a raid.

Type /shop in game to see what's on the shelf today. If you'd like to earn faster, the points boosters are on the store, and points packs start at 500 for $10 in the points section.
