The Wipe Schedule Explained
The map on Asgard resets at 6 PM Eastern every Monday and Friday, which is 3 PM for anyone playing on Pacific time. We went with a short cycle on purpose. A fresh map every three or four days means nobody gets to sit on one base for long, and on a map this small that suits how people actually play.
Voting on the next map
Roughly a day ahead of each wipe, we post four freshly generated small maps in #map-vote on our Discord. You react with the number of the one you like, and the winner becomes the next map. Voting needs the Verified role, which you get when you link Steam to Discord for the free Discord kit. Each map is procedurally generated with our custom monuments, and Launch Site always sits out on its own island.
Force wipe and the skipped Friday
Once a month the blueprints reset too, on the first Thursday at 2 PM Eastern, timed with the Facepunch update. On this server that reset barely registers for most players. Almost every blueprint on Asgard is unlocked for free from the moment you spawn, and typing /bps lists the handful that still need learning, such as turrets and external walls.
Because the force wipe map goes up on a Thursday, we skip the Friday wipe right after it. Next up is Thursday, November 5, and that map stays live all weekend until the regular Monday wipe on November 9.
What stays with you
A wipe clears everything that lives on the map, including your base and whatever you were carrying when it hit. Ranks keep running through it, since they are monthly or yearly subscriptions that renew until you cancel. Two other things sit on your account and never wipe either:
- Your points balance, which you can check at any time with
/rp - Kit tokens and 7-day booster tokens, which wait in
/redeemfor as long as you like and never expire
Starting the new map
Every free kit that is limited to once per wipe comes back with the new map. Type /kit starter as soon as you land and you get 10,000 wood, 10,000 stone, 5,000 metal fragments, 1,000 cloth, a tool cupboard, a bed, a sheet metal double door, 2 sheet metal doors and 4 code locks. If you've linked your accounts, /discord hands you the Discord kit again on the fresh map. The bow kit can be grabbed every 5 minutes, up to 30 times a wipe, while the daily rank kits ignore the wipe entirely and stay on their own 24 hour timer.
If a Builder token has been sitting in your account, wipe day is when we'd cash it in. One redeem puts 20,000 wood, 20,000 stone, 15,000 frags and 3,000 HQM in your inventory, along with every door and code lock a full base needs.
Checking it in game
Type /wipe in chat and the server info screen opens straight to the wipe tab, showing the same times as this post. The info page on the site has the full schedule as well. The server also restarts once a day, which has nothing to do with wipes, and chat begins warning you a full minute before it happens.
